COTY PROUD WINNER OF THE FASHION & LUXURY AWARD

Coty wins the 2010 Fashion & Luxury category at the annual Industry Awards organised by World Trademark Review at The Harvard Club of Boston.

Tradition has it that MAQS Law Firm sponsors the category Fashion and Luxury Goods at the annual Industry Awards. This year is no exception. The exclusive award ceremony took place last night at The Harvard Club of Boston. Besides MAQS Law Firm, the event was attended by more than 200 senior in-house counsels from nominated companies and representatives from a number of prominent law firms.

Each year World Trademark Review (WTR) honours leading in-house departments or groups through its Industry Awards. The awards are designed to recognize the vitally important work carried out by in-house trademark counsels, and to identify the teams and individuals that are performing their functions to the highest possible standards. The awards are divided into geo-graphical, industry and individual categories.

It is industry that talks and has decided that Coty has the best performing in-house legal department amongst all the global fashion and luxury goods producers. The winners are selected from nominations received from the global trademark community.

Not only is Coty this year’s winner of the award. Coty is also a client of MAQS Law Firm which serves their intellectual property interests in the whole of the Scandinavian and Baltic Region. Worth mentioning is also that so are all the nominees in this category clients of MAQS Law Firm.

To arrive at the shortlist, WTR conducts in-depth research of in-house counsels worldwide by surveying the global trademark community. More than 1,600 nominations make the awards unique in clearly identifying those counsels, both teams and individuals, that have excelled in their sector or region. Nominees for this years prestigious Fashion and Luxury Goods Award was Chanel, Coty, Gucci Group, L'Oréal, LVMH Group and hence all clients of MAQS Law Firm.
